DESCRIPTION:The sterilisation of biomaterials is a crucial step in the manufacture of safe and reliable medical devices. Prescribed standards play a central role in ensuring the effectiveness of the sterilisation process and the integrity of the materials. The choice of suitable sterilisation strategies must always be individually adapted to the specific properties of the biomaterial and the subsequent intended use.\nIn the area of conflict between material compatibility\, sterility assurance and regulatory requirements\, practice-orientated solutions are needed that meet the high quality requirements.
